DAY 1: HO CHI MINH CITY ARRIVAL
Arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to the hotel for check in. After freshen up, taking an orientation tour to have an overview of Ho Chi Minh City with visiting some key attractions like Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. Enjoy a welcome dinner in a famous local restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY COOKING CLASS
You will start off with a morning cooking lesson conducted by a professional chef. Our guide will translate, explain the chef's teaching, the history and culture of Vietnamese cuisine. Firstly you will visit the local market, shop for ingredients. Then continue your course and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will have chance to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, an important place used by Viet Cong in resistance to American forces during the war. Dug out by hand tools without the use of cement, the tunnels have more than 200km of underground tunnels with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels where thousands of fighters and villagers could hide. You can discover how people communicate and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters during the war.
DAY 3: HO CHI MINH CITY - CAN THO - MEKONG DELTA
In the morning, you will check out your hotel and drive to Cai Be then stop by a Bonsai garden for a tea break. After arriving you will visit the family making the popcorn cake, rice paper making family on a motorized boat. Next you will experience the local life by visiting the floating market of Cai Be. Vinh Long province is the place of the diverse fish traps will give you the chance of learning a kind of lazy fishing. Pass through small shady canals, then step ashore and take a chance to watch a typical and interesting music show of the Mekong cultural life. Stop at a local home or Bonsai Garden to enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will walk about half an hour to experience the rural peaceful atmosphere of the countryside life. Besides, you can also stop en route to explore fruitful orchards before take a visit to brick and pottery factories. At about 03.00PM, you will leave your cruise and then take a car drive to Can Tho, the centre of Mekong Delta, to participate in a walking city tour and visit the local evening market to take photos of the busy trading activities. After that, transfer to your hotel to check in. Overnight in Can Tho.
DAY 4:CAN THO - HO CHI MINH CITY
Waking up early to prepare for a 3-hour cruising tour to 2 big floating markets in Can Tho, Cai Rang and Phong Dien. There, you will discover a typical way that local people display and advertise their farm products on the Mekong River to trade. Visiting a Bun Tau noodle factory, take a short trek then explore a rice-husking mill. You will have an opportunity to try passing one of the many fragile monkey bridges along the canals photo shot. Finally you will drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 5: HO CHI MINH CITY - DANANG - HOI AN
In the morning, you will fly to Danang and then drive to Hoi An Old Quarter. During the trip, you will visit the fascinating Cham Museum; the Marble Mountains. With more than 1000 years of history, Hoi An was the principle port of the Cham Kingdom from 7th to 10th centuries, and was a major international port for Western and Asia traders from the 16th to 18th centuries. High grade silk and ceramics - two main products trading in this area are still produced now. Today, Hoi An is famous for its eclectic architecture, tailors shops, and numerous cafes. Here you will enjoy a walking tour through the Hoi An Old Quarter visiting Japanese Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Phung Hung Ancient House… and try some local specialties before spending an overnight stay in Hoi An.
DAY 6:HOI AN COOKING CLASS
You will attend a Hoi An cooking class near Hoi An River. A chef will be supposed to take you all to a Hoi An colorful market to experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. You will be able to shop for ingredients to use in the cooking lesson later. Then spend about 25 minutes boarding the Red Bridge boat along the Hoi An River to the Cooking School while viewing local river life. Upon arrival, before learning some of Hoi An's and Vietnam's well-known dishes you will have time to explore the herb and vegetable garden of the school. It takes about an hour and 15 minutes to run the cooking class – an interesting and fun way to learn about the local cuisine. The school's chefs will show you their demonstrations, brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving, and teach you how to prepare some dishes. At last, spend your free time exploring the ancient town of Hoi An or shopping at tailor shops before an overnight stay in Hoi An.
DAY 7: HOI AN - HANOI
You will leave Hoi An for Danang Airport to back to Hanoi. After checking in the hotel in Hanoi and freshen up, you will have an hour cycling around Hanoi Old Quarter, where you can explore hundreds of specialty shops which sell many things like the name of the street there, such as Hang Gai Street, Hang Thiec Street, Hang Trong Street, etc. Overnight in Hanoi
DAY 8:HANOI COOKING AND SIGHTSEEING TOUR
You will join a cooking class in the morning. Firstly, the Chef of a famous local restaurant will guide you to the local market and teach you Vietnamese ingredients. Next, you will be taught to prepare a proper Vietnamese dishes. Afterwards, enjoy your lunch with your newly cooking achievement. In the afternoon, you will follow an English speaking guide to explore Hanoi discover the Old Quarter and it’s so called "36 streets", most of which are named after the crafts or merchandise traditionally sold there. Stop to visit the Temple of Literature which known as the first University of Vietnam dating back to 11th century. Then take a chance to visit Thang Long Water Puppet Theater near Hoan Kiem Lake for watching a traditional Water Puppet performance - a unique Vietnamese art form hailing from Southeast Asia's wet-rice culture at least 1,000 years ago.
DAY 9:HANOI DEPARTURE
You will have free time to discover more about Hanoi on your own. You can do shopping, go sightseeing or just relax before leaving for Noi Bai Airport for onward flight. End of tour services.
